Hello and welcome to my blog! My name is Wendy, a mid-20s New Yorker, born and raised.
I am in the midst of, what I believe to be a quarter life crisis. I am currently employed in a stable job with decent pay. However, I do not love what I do and cannot see myself doing it for the rest of my working life. So I am feeling a bit lost at the moment.
As you can see from the name of this blog, it will be about food to an extent but this will definitely go beyond that. I am by no means what you would call a “foodie.”
I started this blog to really take back control of my life, both professionally and personally (to be delved into in my upcoming posts). I am leading a lifestyle that is not conducive to my physical well-being or my mental health.
Life is all about choices. I used to (and still do) choose the easy ways out. Sometimes it does not even feel like a conscious decision as I do things out of (bad) habits. By starting this blog, I hope to hold myself accountable for these choices. I know that things do not have to be this way anymore.
This is a pledge to myself that I will honor so that I can live a longer, healthier, and happier life because I deserve it.
I anticipate that, as with anything worth doing, this will not be an easy road. Hopefully, I will learn and grow during this process and blossom more than I can imagine right now.
I hope that anyone reading this might be inspired to do the same.
